Red Cowgirl Boots Welcome!

Welcome to my blog!

I am a young agricultural enthusiast focused on spreading the "Colorful" world of Agriculture.

Involved with an amazing group of other Calgary Stampede Summer Synergy Youth who are committed to promoting Agricultural to others. I was introduced to blogging in participation for the Summer Synergy Marketing Campaign, which has truly inspired me.

I am excited to share my thoughts, comments, on serious and fun aspects of Agriculture. I hope that if you have an opinion on my subject matter, that you will leave a comment - I want to know how you feel, from both my agriculture and urban friends. Lets have some fun, relive some memories, make new memories and talk about what really matters most - help spread the word of Agriculture.

Get your boots out, dust them off, and join me in adding a bit of color to Agriculture!

This and That

If you need a little agricultural tidbit, uplifting quote, or just something to think about check out the daily quotes which will be posted on this page!

"I was asked to act when I couldn't act. I was asked to sing 'Funny Face' when I couldn't sing, and dance with Fred Astaire when I couldn't dance - and do all kinds of things I wasn't prepared for. Then I tried like mad to cope with it."
~ Audrey Hepburn
I love Audrey Hepburn's quotes. She really is a remarkable human being who not only suffer through WWII but dedicated her life to children in third world countries. This quote is life. You will get thrown a million things that you many not want to do but you just have to sit down, cope with it, and continue on with life.

" believe in pink. I believe that laughing is the best calorie burner. I believe in kissing, kissing a lot. I believe in being strong when everything seems to be going wrong. I believe that happy girls are the prettiest girls. I believe that tomorrow is another day and I believe in miracles."
~Audrey Hepburn

You have brains in your head. You have feet in your shoes. You can steer yourself in any direction you choose. You're on your own.
And you know what you know. You are the guy who'll decide where to go.
~Dr. Suess
Dr. Suess is a writing that will always put a smile on your face! This quote is a stress reliever for next year. To me it means do what I want and if it doesn't work out try something else. Its your life, live it your way!

"Being unwanted, unloved, uncared for, forgotten by everybody, I think that is a much greater hunger, a much greater poverty than the person who has nothing to eat"
~Mother Teresa
Working at a Seniors home this quote hits me hard. On mothers day a little lady was crying because no one came to visit her, not even her very own children. People have to be taken care of. They don't only need the 4 essential needs (food, shelter, clothing, water) but they need love. They need something to look forward to. To know that if they died they would be missed. You can't take people for granted in life because you really don't realized how amazing they are until they leave.

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right - for you'll be criticized anyway."
~Eleanor Roosevelt
I think this quote makes a lot of sense. Its so true. You need to do what YOU think is best and what YOU want and not care what people think because no matter what their probably going to judge you anyway. I need to live by this quote. I care way to much about what people think and base some of my decisions around that.

"Our doubts are traitors, and make us lose the good we oft might win, by fearing to attempt."
~William Shakespeare
Surprisingly this is one Shakespeare quote I can actually understand! We can't fear failure. Everything we do has a chance that we might fail; but, we may also succeed.

"A work of art is the unique result of a unique temperament."
~Oscar Wilde
This quote reminds me of myself. I really am a temperamental artist. As I explained in my blog post on "artwork" I am a bit of a perfectionist so when I become frustrated I throw whatever is in arms length!

"When one door of happiness closers, another opens, but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one that has been opened for us."
~Helen Keller
I believe that to many people live in the past, dwelling on things that are done and over with. If you try to move on you will realize that soon enough a new door will open that may be better than the past.

"I learned that courage was not the absence of fear, but the triumph over it. The brave man is not he who does not feel afraid, but he who conquers that fear."
~Nelson Mandela
Even the most bravest soal still encounters fear; however, it just takes great courage to proceed. Not matter how scared you are to do something try to conquer it anyway because you will be awarded with the satisfaction on its own.

"Let us not be satisfied with just giving money. Money is not enough, money can be got, but they need your hearts to love them. So, spread your love everywhere you go."
~Mother Teresa
Giving money seems to be what to do these day; but how far does your money go? While millions of people donated money to the earthquake in Haiti the money went straight to the dictator rather than to the citizens who needed it. Donating is still a wonderful thing; however, you need to make sure its going to the right hands.
